The primary purpose of the library is to collect and distribute information in a way that is appropriate for higher education.
PSMO College Library & Digital Resource Centre’s new building was constructed under the MP Janab: E Ahmed Sahib’s LAD Scheme of Tirurangadi Block Panchayat (2006-2007). The Foundation Stone for Library & Digital Resource Centre was laid by Janab: E. Ahamed Sahib on 17th March 2007 and later Inaugurated by Janab: E. Ahamed Sahib on 9th February 2009. The College Library was established in 1968.
The library offers its services to about 2000 users comprising students, research scholars, teaching and non-teaching staff of this college. The Library has well ventilated, lighted and spacious reading area with good seating arrangements. The Library services are used by the faculty and students on an average of 8 Hours a day.
The college library has fully computerized with an area of 7779.88 Sq. Mtrs., having a seating of 125 students, working from 9.00am to 5.00 pm on all working days including Saturdays.
The college has fully computerized library with 48310 books, 159 printed periodicals including journals and 12 Newspapers. Books are classified using DDC (Dewy Decimal Classification) system for smooth handling of various subjects.
Digital Library PSMO College was inaugurated by Janab: P. K KUNHALIKKUTTY on 29th July 2011. Digital Library was sponsored by PSMO College Alumni Jeddah Chapter in association with Al – Abeer Medical Group, Jeddah.
The main purpose of Digital Library is an attempt to provide instant access to digitized information and consist of a variety of information, including multimedia. The electronic devices include one IBM Server, 33 Desktop Computers, Two Scanners, One Network Printer and 46 inch LED TV.
Photos, videos and audios of various college events are stored on a digital server.
Digital library has 1,05,655 E-books, 1051 Photo collections, 9675 Video lectures , 141+ Softwares, 813 Audio files and 9001 other resources .
